Where is the party? When are they held? The location and event details are disclosed only to members. We are in Alexandria, just outside the Beltway. We try to keep the schedule here updated and we also list our parties on APG, SLS and LoveVoodoo.

What is the age range of your members? We have had members as young as 22 and a few over 60. A majority are in their 30s and 40s. Wild Thing will endeavor to ensure that there are always a few boy toys in the mix for the ladies who love 'em.

Is the group interracial? Yes. Our members have been roughly 80% white, but not by design. There are black guests at every party and a sprinkling of everything else. Who you play with is personal, but if you don't want to be at an event with people who don't look like you, we don't want you there, anyway.

How many members do you have? What is the mix at parties?  Website membership varies from month to month, but there are hundreds of people who pop in on a somewhat regular basis. Saturday party attendance ranges from 45 to 70 people.

We aim for a male/female ratio of about 1.2 to 1 at Silk and Skin parties, and it's tweaked to account as much as possible for the er, appetite of the female guests. The ratio is higher at a party with more single ladies and lower at a party that has more couples. We work hard to avoid having an too many single men. A typical mix at a social party would be 16 "real" couples, 12 single women and 18 single men. Some of the singles come as dates and some don't.

We do have far more single people than the average Lifestyle party. Because we allow single men, we attract more single women. Parties that do not allow single men often claim to have single female members but usually there are few or none in reality. The large presence of singles changes the atmosphere: it's wilder and less predictable. After experiencing this, I rarely go to couple-only parties any more because I find them boring. However, if the presence of single males irritates you, go elsewhere.

Is it BYOB? Yes. You are welcome to bring the alcoholic beverages of your choice.

Will there be food? Hell, yes. We put out the best spread of food you will ever see at a Lifestyle party or club. Salmon, shrimp, sushi and tenderloin is a typical selection. You can count on making a dinner of it, especially on nights when Chef Victor is on hand. He is a real chef who manages a restaurant kitchen and he is also really French. (Ladies love the accent.)

How do I become a member? You petition for membership by filling out this form, and if accepted pay the fee for website access.

Couples and single ladies are always welcome. However, if you do not have an acceptable paid profile on one of the major swingers' websites, the webmistress may ask to speak to the lady briefly on the phone before offering membership.

Admission is much more competitive for single men. A single man we don't know WILL NOT be able to join without a paid, seasoned profile on a major swingers' website or a reference from someone we know. (By the way, don't ask us which websites are acceptable. If you don't already know, you failed the test.) If your profile is too new or too sketchy to satisfy, you will be turned down. In addition, the gender ratio is always kept in mind. The more couples and single ladies who are registered in a given month, the more single men who will be allowed to join.

Married men may join as singles, but they are generally not allowed at Saturday parties without their wives. Exceptions can be made for married men to attend alone if the wife tells us personally (as in face-to-face) that it is OK with her; however, truly single men will always get priority. Married men can all attend our Daytime Playtime parties on weekday afternoons.

What are Daytime Playtime parties like? We occasionally schedule parties on weekday afternoons for people who have odd schedules or want to sneak away during the day for, ahem, other reasons. Membership is FREE for couples who attend these parties; indeed, if you attend a weekday party as a couple your free membership will be extended so you can also attend the next Saturday party! The male/female ratio is quite a bit higher, roughly 2:1. Married men are allowed, and admission for males is much less competitive than it is on Saturday. Ladies who like playing with many men come to these parties, so it works out.

Does website membership guarantee admittance to events? For couples and ladies, yes. For single males, not always. When you petition for your first month's membership or email about a renewal, we will let you know if there is space available at events scheduled for that month, and if not you can choose not to join unless/until we have space for you at a party. Which males are admitted to a particular party depends on a number of factors: age, attractiveness, experience and intelligence all count. If a lady requests a particular man, he's in. If a lady requests a particular type of man, that affects the selection. We also try to go for a diverse mix as much as possible.

Why so restrictive? We strive to put together a group of compatible people and to safeguard the privacy of our members. We have a large enough regular membership that we do not need to take chances on unknown individuals who could be disruptive or make trouble for the group by disclosing information inappropriately.

The reasons for the policies on married men are simple. Many single women and couples are happy that I screen out cheaters because they don't want to associate with them for ethical reasons, and some single women like knowing there will be "available" guys at the party. Males are plentiful, so there's incentive to screen married men out and no incentive not to. Unaccompanied women, however, are not plentiful, and males at the party don't care if the women are married, so we have an unabashed double standard. No, it's not fair, and no I don't care.

What is the cost? Website access is free for verified single ladies, $35-45 per month for couples and $70-85 per month for single men, depending on when and how you pay. All events are free for members and you will be told before you join about availability for that month's events.

How do I pay? This can be done through credit card, Green Dot cash card (see www.greendot.com for info) or mailing cash to our PO Box. It may sometimes be possible to track one of us down at a "meet and greet" or other event and pay in cash.
